Jorge E. Cherres, RA, AIA, LEED AP, NCARB

Jorge E. Cherres is a New York State Registered Architect with over 20 years of professional experience in architecture, construction, and real estate development.
A graduate of the New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2007, Jorge became a licensed architect in 2012. In 2014, he co-founded Carusone & Cherres Architects LLC, where he gained extensive experience working on residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
Beyond architectural design, Jorge brings hands-on experience in construction management, design-build projects, and real estate investment. His professional qualifications also include NYC Department of Buildings Construction Superintendent and Special Inspection Agency (Technical Report Inspector, TR1 and TR8) credentials.
This diverse background shapes his approach to architecture, allowing him to develop thoughtful designs while considering constructability, regulatory requirements, project budgets, and long-term property value.
An active member of the American Institute of Architects, Jorge has served as Treasurer and Vice President of the AIA Queens Chapter and is the incoming Chapter President for 2027 and 2028.
Through Cherres Architecture Studio, Jorge combines technical expertise, practical construction knowledge, and a client-centered approach. He believes every project deserves personal attention, thoughtful planning, and clear communication. His goal is to help clients make informed decisions and confidently navigate the architectural process from initial concept through completion.
